You are required to bring your Stick to this seminar.  If you do not have one, please contact Jim Meyer as soon as possible to arrange for a rental.
Although not required, you might also want to bring the following:

  • All Stick adjustment tools. We can show you how to change strings, adjust the truss rod, etc.
  • A headphone amp. These are very helpful when you want to wander off and review part of a lesson.
  • An instrument stand. Often clumsy to travel with, but great to set your instrument on between lessons.
  • Rain gear and something warm – welcome to the Pacific Northwest!

The Performance Art Trap

May 1 – 4, 2013 | 7:00pm, 8:00pm, 9:00pm

by Radix
Presented by Boco Del Lupo
as part of the Micro Performance Series

boca-del-lupo_Boca logo

performanceartTHE PERFORMANCE ART TRAPS offer metaphors for the trappings of life. The traps are giant custom-built cardboard boxes, propped up with a stick like a rudimentary rabbit trap. The ‘bait’ is a performer inside, with an empty chair for the ‘catch’ to sit in. With the victim seated, a nearby security guard pulls the stick and “whump!” the trap is released!

Three boxes offer metaphors on the trappings of love, fame, and death and special fourth box that you will not want to miss.

  • Each trap is approximately 10 minutes in length
  • Each ticket gets you 1 hour in ‘The Performance Art Trap’
  • Please arrive on time.  There will be no latecomers as there are many shows each night that need to start promptly.
  • Suitable for ages 12 and up.

Tickets: $10

In this new & quirky four-person musical, a tiny New York apartment gets even smaller as a young couple’s wildest fantasies come to life. A hunky fireman, and the seductive “girl-next-door,” burst to life from a store-bought picture frame and turn one couple’s cold feet into a fun and sexy parable of modern love.

Dinner with Friends.

*Please note: this show has extended its run until Saturday, November 24, 2012.
Donald Margulies has said that, like his other works, he wrote Dinner With Friends “to reflect observations I’m having at that time in my life … All around us, relationships are changing… It’s those notions of impermanence, the yearning for something else that I’m tapping into.” Dinner With Friends has touched audiences around the world for simple reasons: the characters are real. They are normal. They are exactly like us. The play begins in present day over a luxurious Italian dinner, takes us back in time to newer days of infatuation, and then returns to the present, all while exploring the varying tones of the relationships of two couples.
