BOOKING POLICY FOR GRANVILLE ISLAND FACILITIES
The Waterfront Theatre and Performance Works

GENERAL POLICY:

Weekly Bookings will be granted on a first come first served basis for Cultural Groups 18 months prior to each performance season (September to June)

Bookings for the 2008/2009 Season will be taken starting April 1, 2007
Bookings for the 2009/2010 Season will be taken starting April 1, 2008
Bookings for the 2010/2011 Season will be taken starting April 1, 2009

The following exemptions and special conditions apply:

A) Granville Island Cultural Partners may book up to three years in advance for their traditional time slots. Confirmation must be made no later than one year prior to each annual booking. Changes in traditional timeslots may be booked 18 months prior to the performance season and will be accommodated where ever possible.

B) One night commercial and private rental bookings: will be accepted one year in advance for Performance Works for the months of July August and December only as available. Other one night booking dates may become available in other months of the year after weekly bookings have been confirmed.

C) Extraordinary Requests: Management may consider extraordinary requests for advance bookings where confirmed dates are needed for operational reasons more than one year prior to the event.

D) Priority will be given to those renting the facility for two week or more blocks of time. Weekly booking will be accommodated where possible between longer bookings.

Rates:
Rates will be established and reviewed annually. Both venues will provide discount rates for non-profit societies. Discounted rates for slower rental periods or for marketing/promotional purposes may be granted at the discretion of the GICS Manager
